Welcome to my world

Auro is my primary OC universe. I devised it as a repository of sorts to keep most of my OCs organized, or at least those that have (vaguely) intertwining character lore.

The figurehead here is Wren, who was my first OC. Since she's my default OC in a lot of cases, it made the most sense to build Auro around her.

Auro secondarily houses a lot of off-the-wall ideas that I would never feel like devoting an entire setting to. There's a lot of random nonsense crammed into this setting that I think kind of gives it its charm, at least to me.

Auro is also a collaborative effort! A good amount of characters present in the setting were created by my friend Allister, and some of the broader concepts are also his. His characters will NOT be included on this site, but they are viewable elsewhere, probably on his Toyhouse.

Characters

Species

Uranoids - A species of slimy, fish-like beings, capable of levitation and various levels of self-domesticity. Uranoids come in five general colors; blue is the most common color, followed by green and purple, then red and yellow. Azzie is one of these.

Sirenians - Basically the Aurian version of mermaids. The lore here is complicated enough that I'm probably going to wind up making an entire subpage for them, because I can't easily summarize it. Delphine is one of these, but she presents as a land-dwelling human in most contexts.

Arnaxians - I haven't developed this species very much. The most development they have is that they're spider-like and not native to Auro's Earth.

Concepts

Dimensional Indexing System - This is used to categorize alternate dimensions using a three-dimensional coordinate system. Using some similarly complicated technology, one can also travel to these alternate dimensions by simply punching in a coordinate trio. In universe, this technology was pioneered by Wren herself, as the result of a very bizarre and convoluted transdimensional chatroom.

Transformation abilities - Remember what I said about Auro having all my weird ideas in it? This is a PERFECT example of that. Shapeshifting powers are largely either governed by alchemy or straight up magic. Wren deals in home potion brewing as a source of income, and Olive was willingly transformed into a lamia with a magic spell.
